New Pike TV Series

Christopher Pike’s series “Spooksville” has been picked up for a run on the television network HUD.

Listen to what Pike had to say…

“As many of you have noticed, there are a number of announcements on the Internet concerning the new — or old — Spooksville series. It’s going to be a half hour, live-action show on the Hasbro network, HUD. The plan is for the series to come out at the end of the year, although that might change. I have read the first three scripts. They are good but deviate somewhat from what I created”

Based on the acclaimed book series by author Christopher Pike, the new kid in town discovers that he holds the key to a battle between good and evil that has been taking place for centuries in a bizarre small town that plays host to a wide array of supernatural and unexplained occurrences; only to learn that his family is right in the center of the mystery. From Producer Jane Startz, the half-hour series is expected to premiere in the fourth quarter of 2012.

  1. Trouble is with TV shows is that the format has to fit the timeline, budget and audience – my kid would be perfect as Sally………..

  2. I’ve actually emailed the network or someone involved with this series asking for anything I could use to promote it on Facebook :)) It was a shot in the dark, and so far I have recieved nothing. I would love to see those characters get played out in a series but I doubt, unfortunatly that TV could grasp what Pike is so great at in his writing. That’s usually the case. I’d like it to be similar to Buffy the Vampire Slayer to be perfectly honest with you. I’m looking forward to it. ~ Kyle

  3. I started reading this series after I read goosebumps and i loved it. this was the first series to ever make me emotional. i love it, can’t wait for the shows to come out

  4. Watch was always my favorite character, but with all the changes he seems so flat now. It seems like they’re changing Adam into a Gary Stu.
